Staff Product Manager - Mid-Market Acceleration

As a Product Manager for International Mid-Market, you’ll be part of a global team that is focused on developing products to help accelerate growth in Mid-Market across our International markets. You’ll do this by working with global teams of Product Managers, Engineers, Analysts and Designers to ensure that our roadmap represents the requirements of mid-market customers. In addition, you will partner with local teams to support go-to-market activities to ensure successful product launches in each market.
Our key International Mid-Market product is QuickBooks Advanced, but our overall suite of products and features for Mid-Market also includes Payroll plus other key QBO features (eg receipt capture). You’ll be working across the range of products.
Our Mid-Market customers are both small to medium mid market businesses (typically 10-99 EEs and/or $1.5M company revenue (USD). plus the accountants who support them.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the Mid-Market product roadmap, in alignment with our International Mid-Market business and product strategies and in collaboration with market and global teams
- Contribute towards the global product strategy for Mid-Market, partnerships and M&A activity to ensure the needs of our target market in your country are represented when we’re planning ahead.
- Deeply understand the customer with follow-me-home research, usability studies, in app experiments, and talking to customers
- Turn global customer and market insights into actionable business and product requirements
- Drive product development with cross-functional and cross-platform teams to deliver high-impact experiences quickly
- Demonstrate technical depth in SaaS software principles and organization; i.e. able to speak to the approach for implementing cross-product solutions, strong communication skills with engineering and architecture teams
- Leverage data to ruthlessly prioritize a backlog full of big opportunities to focus on the most impactful problems affecting mid-market businesses in the UK.
- Lead, create and launch market-leading product offerings in partnership with sales, marketing, engineering, user experience and support
- Lead initiatives across multiple business units to bring ideas to life and maintain a cohesive cross-product experience
Qualifications
- Experience in designing and delivering world-class technology products in a Product Management role, preferably for a SaaS based financial management software company
- Comfortable and experienced working as part of a team that is geographically dispersed around the world
- Demonstrated experience managing the end-to-end product or feature lifecycle for consumer or enterprise offerings
- Experience of leading or contributing towards the planning and execution of a successful product roadmap
- Demonstrated experience of applying analytical thinking to inform prioritisation
- Demonstrable experience of delivering successful customer-driven products designed to create a great customer experience
- Experience with Agile development and methodologies
- Proven experience of leading cross-functional teams that together launched web or mobile software product offerings that were on-time and on-budget
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to think and lead complex projects simultaneously
- Undergraduate degree required in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, Science or a related technical discipline (equivalent professional experience will be considered)
