Intuit's Consumer Group (CG) is dedicated to empowering millions of consumers to achieve financial well-being through our industry-leading products such as TurboTax, TurboTax Live, and Credit Karma. We are seeking an exceptional and visionary Director, Consumer Partnerships & Strategy to significantly contribute to our future growth and innovation within the Consumer Group.

This pivotal leadership position requires a strategic thinker who can navigate the dynamic landscape of consumer finance, identify emerging opportunities, and cultivate impactful partnerships. You will be instrumental in shaping our competitive stance, driving platform expansion, and directly influencing our revenue and unit growth objectives.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cultivate Macro & Micro Insights for Strategic Advantage:
  • Spearhead the consumer research and strategy capabilities for the Consumer Group, delivering a comprehensive outside-in perspective on critical industry dynamics.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of competitor strategies within the Tax and broader "money development" sectors, pinpointing strategic opportunities and potential challenges.
  • Evaluate the evolving landscape of AI adoption within fintech and among competitors, translating findings into actionable strategic imperatives.
  • Continuously monitor and interpret emerging consumer trends in the Fintech space, transforming observations into clear, data-driven strategic recommendations for the Consumer Group.
  • Develop and execute a robust strategy to enhance consumer signal and data maturity across the entire Intuit consumer platform, fostering a culture of informed decision-making.
  1. Lead Strategic Partnership Development & Management:
  • Assume direct P&L responsibility for the Consumer Group's partnership team, encompassing Business Development (BD) and Account Management (AM) functions, to ensure the attainment of ambitious revenue and unit growth targets.
  • Champion the incubation and development of a sustainable partnership ecosystem designed to fuel the long-term growth of the consumer platform. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Marketing Partners: Identifying, securing, and nurturing collaborations that amplify our market reach, strengthen brand recognition, and accelerate customer acquisition.
  • Product Partners: Orchestrating integrations with complementary products and services that enrich the consumer experience and expand our value proposition.
  • Data Partners: Exploring and leveraging strategic data collaborations to deepen consumer insights, enable personalized experiences, and optimize overall platform performance.
  • Lead complex negotiations and manage high-value partnership agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and fostering enduring relationships.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Legal to ensure flawless execution and integration of all partnership initiatives.

Qualifications

Desired Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in strategic roles within the consumer technology or fintech industry, with a demonstrated focus on consumer insights, strategy formulation, and business development.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing P&L responsibilities and leading high-performing teams in dynamic, matrixed organizational structures.
  • Deep expertise in the competitive landscape of the tax and personal finance industries, coupled with a keen ability to anticipate and capitalize on emerging trends.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with a history of leveraging data and insights to inform strategic decisions and measure the impact of initiatives.
  • Exceptional business acumen, results-orientation, and a passion for driving tangible business outcomes.
  • Outstanding leadership skills, including the ability to build, coach, and inspire diverse teams to achieve excellence.
  • Superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence and align stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • A strategic mindset combined with a pragmatic, execution-focused approach.
  • Experience with artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) applications within consumer product environments is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or a related quantitative field; an MBA is strongly preferred.
