Job Overview

Company Overview:

At Intuit, our mission is to power prosperity around the world. We are on a journey to transform from a tax and accounting platform to a global financial technology platform powered by AI, doing the hard work for our millions of customers. We are focused on solving the most important financial challenges of consumers and small businesses through our AI-driven expert platform strategy. Our work is guided by five key priority areas, our Big Bets, which focus on revolutionizing speed to benefit, connecting people to experts, unlocking smart money decisions, being the center of small business growth, and disrupting the small business mid-market.

Role Summary:

As the Director of Global Benefits, you will be a key architect of our rewards strategy through global benefits program leadership and broader contributions.  You will be responsible for setting strategic direction, planning, design, regulatory compliance, and communication, while partnering to drive the implementation and execution of Intuit’s global benefits portfolio of health and welfare, retirement, and wellness programs.  You will also be a key partner in the development of broader rewards and talent strategies that will attract, engage and retain top talent.

This is a critical and high-visibility role with significant impact, requiring collaboration across the organization and deep external market insights.  You'll lead through influence, building support and driving change across teams, in addition to directly managing key company programs and a dedicated team of experienced benefits managers and subject-matter experts.  You'll partner with and lead business and HR leaders to ensure our rewards programs and practices are strongly linked to our business and people strategies and play a critical leadership role on broader People & Places team priorities.  Your success will come from drawing on a broad range of experiences from your background and ability to integrate across people and talent programs, while driving key capabilities and priorities.

Responsibilities

Team Priorities and Areas of Responsibility:

  • Ensuring that we continue to provide extremely competitive benefits and broader total reward programs that are strategic, forward-thinking, and effective – considering external best practices, business aligned solutions, compliance, fit for employees, and cost effectiveness.
  • Ensuring a premium employee experience, including making sure that employees have a deeper understanding of our benefits program offerings, how to access them, their competitiveness, and the value delivered.
  • Articulating and leading a clear roadmap of program additions, ongoing improvements, and projects that effectively involve our key stakeholders, including HR Delivery, Technology, Finance, Legal, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, Communications Partners, and Business and HR leaders.
  • Operating with excellence, from the programs we offer, the processes we run them (in partnership with HR Delivery, Technology, and other teams), and how we continuously improve, govern, and scale them to ensure they support and drive evolving company and employee needs.
  • Closely managing and integrating the services and content provided from our global vendor network, including insurance brokers, service providers, third party administrators, and external consultants.
  • Delivering highly effective written materials, presentations, and story-telling with data when communicating with employees and presenting to senior executives in program review and approval processes.
  • Supporting M&A efforts from due diligence through post-merger integration.
  • Understanding the implications of the regulatory environment influencing benefits and broader rewards in applicable jurisdictions to ensure we offer appropriate benefits programs in the regions we operate in (includes Americas, Asia Pacific and EMEA).
  • Thinking and operating as an integrated Total Rewards team, not just separate Compensation and Benefits teams, and a broader partner across people and talent disciplines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource, business, or related area.
  • 15 or more years of rewards/benefits leadership experience, including managing and developing an experienced team of subject-matter experts.
  • Deep expertise in the design, development, implementation, execution and administration of global health and welfare, retirement, and wellness programs.
  • Deep understanding of various benefits programs and best practices, ideally from publicly traded SaaS companies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business acumen, including the ability to analyze benefits program data and link benefits programs to business, people and talent strategies.
  • Strong track record of partnering with and influencing business and HR leaders.
  • Excellent written communication, presentation, and data storytelling skills, including the ability to communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Knowledge of relevant US and international benefits regulations and best practices.
  • Experience with M&A and post-merger integration.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and build credibility with business leaders and other stakeholders.

Location: Ideal location will be in Mountain View, CA or San Diego, CA.
