Job Overview
Intuit is a global financial technology platform on a mission to power prosperity around the world. With over 100 million customers using products such as TurboTax, QuickBooks, Credit Karma, and Mailchimp, we deliver innovative solutions for consumers, small businesses, self-employed professionals, and accounting experts. We are proud of our track record of customer-centric innovation and consistent recognition as a top employer. Intuit’s vision of powering prosperity guides everything we do, as we continually find new ways to help our customers save time, save money, and make financial progress.
Job Overview
We are seeking a Director of Product Management, Monetization Platforms to lead and evolve Intuit’s Monetization Services and Experiences (MSE). This is a high-impact role at the heart of Intuit’s growth engine: our monetization platform today serves 130+ products across 21 product groups (spanning consumer, small business, and professional tax lines), supports 50+ monetization models and 17,000+ offers, and processes 138 million payment transactions annually for 55 million customers, driving $14B in revenue per year. In this role, you will define the vision and roadmap for the next generation of Intuit’s monetization capabilities, ensuring we can accelerate commercialization with velocity and at scale.
As the leader of Monetization Platforms, you will shape strategy and execution for critical company-wide initiatives. You will align the platform’s evolution with Intuit’s key strategic priorities, including:
- Mid-Market Expansion: Enabling new packaging, flexible pricing, order management, and revenue recognition capabilities to support Intuit’s push into mid-market segments, and integrating our monetization platform with contract management and finance systems to support Intuit’s Big Bet 5- Disrupt the mid-market.
- Money Products Monetization: Driving monetization for our growing ecosystem of financial products – such as QuickBooks Payments, QuickBooks Capital, banking and fintech partnerships, ensuring we can seamlessly monetize new money-related services and third-party integrations.
- Gen AI Done-For-You Experiences: Defining how we commercialize next-generation customer experiences, including Gen AI services like Intuit Assist and other expert/agent-assisted offerings, so that new “done-for-you” solutions have sustainable, scalable business models.
- Platform Transformations: Leading monetization platform enablement for major transformations in our product lines, within both the consumer group across TurboTax and Credit Karma, as well as within the Global Business Solutions Group across Quickbooks and Mailchimp.
- Commercial Innovation: Innovating in pricing and offerings (e.g. dynamic pricing, bundling strategies, flexible product configurations/PLUs) to unlock new revenue streams and cross-product monetization opportunities across our portfolio.
This leader will be instrumental in accelerating Intuit’s growth by ensuring our monetization capabilities stay ahead of business needs. You will combine strategic thinking and deep domain expertise with a “platform-first” mindset to build reusable, scalable solutions that fuel multiple lines of business. If you are passionate about building platforms that drive massive business impact, and excited by the challenge of delivering commercialization at global scale, we invite you to join our mission.
Responsibilities
As the Director of Product Management for Monetization Platforms, you will:
- Define Vision and Strategy: Develop and champion the vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for Intuit’s monetization platform. Ensure the roadmap aligns with Intuit’s overall strategy and anticipates future business models, so we can rapidly commercialize new products and services.
- Drive Platform Investments: Leverage your external domain expertise in monetization, commerce, and payments to identify and prioritize key platform investments. Anticipate industry trends and competitor moves in areas like billing, subscriptions, usage-based pricing, payments, and financial services monetization – and ensure Intuit’s platform capabilities stay ahead of the curve.
- Accelerate Product Commercialization: Deliver platform features and improvements that accelerate product go-to-market. Make it easy for product teams to configure and launch new pricing models, bundles, discounts, and promotions without one-off code, enabling faster experimentation and revenue optimization across all Intuit offerings.
- Platform-First Thought Leadership: Establish yourself and the MSE team as thought leaders in monetization within Intuit. Advocate for a platform-centric approach to solving monetization needs, where we build once and leverage across many products. Educate and influence business unit leaders on best practices for packaging, pricing, and monetization to drive a cohesive customer experience and maximize LTV (lifetime value).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build and nurture strong partnerships across Business Units, Finance, Tech for Intuit (T4I), and Engineering. Collaborate closely with product GMs/VPs, engineering leaders, designers, data scientists, Finance and Accounting, and Go-To-Market teams to ensure successful execution of your roadmap. Facilitate alignment and buy-in from all stakeholders for platform initiatives that span multiple organizations.
- Support Strategic Initiatives: Work hand-in-hand with teams driving Intuit’s strategic growth initiatives – for example, mid-market solution teams, the QuickBooks Money team, new AI-driven services etc. – to integrate monetization seamlessly into their offerings. Your platform will be the backbone for these programs, so you’ll ensure it meets their requirements and scales to their customer needs.
- Scale and Reliability: Oversee the scalability, security, and reliability of our monetization services. The platform you lead must flawlessly handle high volumes of transactions and support complex product catalogs and pricing rules. You’ll partner with engineering on architecture and operational excellence, ensuring we meet the highest standards of uptime, performance, compliance, and data privacy across all markets.
- Measure and Deliver Results: Define success metrics for the monetization platform (e.g. revenue uplift from new capabilities, adoption of platform features, transaction success rates) and consistently deliver on targets. Use data and analytics to monitor performance and guide decisions. You will be accountable for business outcomes such as incremental revenue enabled, time-to-market improvements, and customer satisfaction with monetization experiences (e.g. purchasing, billing, renewal).
- Lead and Inspire Teams: Build a high-performance product management team (directly or through influence in a matrixed environment). Coach and mentor product managers and leaders across Intuit on monetization best practices. Foster a culture that embraces Intuit’s values – customer obsession, stronger together, innovation & courage – and set a bold vision that inspires teams to do the best work of their careers.
Qualifications
- Product Management Leadership: 10+ years of product management experience (with 5+ years in a leadership role) driving strategy and execution for platform or infrastructure products at scale. Proven success in managing platforms or large-scale services that support multiple business lines or customer segments.
- Domain Expertise in Monetization: Deep knowledge of monetization domains such as billing platforms, pricing strategy, e-commerce/payments, subscription models, and fintech products. You have led products or platforms involving complex pricing, payment processing, and revenue recognition, and have a strong intuition for what great monetization experiences look like.
- Strategic Thinker with Business Acumen: Demonstrated ability to set strategic direction – crafting a compelling vision and translating it into an actionable roadmap. Strong business acumen with a track record of delivering significant growth or efficiency improvements. You can balance long-term strategic investments with quick wins that drive immediate impact.
- Innovation and Customer Focus: Customer-obsessed mindset with a passion for innovation. You constantly look for ways to solve customer problems better, remove friction in purchase experiences, and deliver more value. Experience leading 0->1 product initiatives and bringing new offerings to market, as well as scaling mature products, is highly valued.
- Data-Driven and Analytical: Excellent analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision making. Ability to dive into usage data, experiment results, and financial metrics to glean insights and inform strategy. Familiarity with A/B testing, growth analytics, and using customer feedback to iterate is important.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence: Outstanding collaborator and communicator. Proven ability to work across product, engineering, design, finance, marketing, and sales teams to drive a unified strategy. Adept at influencing senior executives and stakeholders without direct authority, leveraging insights and relationships to drive alignment.
- Execution Excellence: Strong project leadership and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to deliver complex initiatives on time and within scope across multiple teams. You remove roadblocks, navigate ambiguity, and make sound decisions to keep execution on track.
- Thought Leadership and Change Management: Experience acting as a thought leader or change agent to institute new processes or mindsets (e.g. driving platform thinking, implementing new monetization models across an organization). You can evangelize a vision and inspire teams to adopt new approaches.
- Technical Aptitude: Comfortable working closely with architects and engineers on technical design trade-offs. While you need not be an engineer, you should have a solid understanding of how modern SaaS platforms and payment systems are built (APIs, microservices, compliance considerations, etc.) to engage in detailed discussions and make informed decisions.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required. MBA or advanced degree a plus.
- Bonus Qualifications: Experience in Fintech, commerce, or revenue recognition platforms; familiarity with Intuit’s product domains (small business, consumer finance, accounting/tax) is a plus. Prior success in a platform product role at a large scale or a high-growth tech company is highly desirable.
