Job Overview

The Go-to-Market Tech (GTM Tech) organization drives Intuit's growth by designing and building best-in-class capabilities, delivering transformative experiences for our customers and exceptional business outcomes. This organization is responsible for City Map L0 - Customer Growth and Engagement and encompasses Monetization, MarTech, and Experimentation capabilities.


Responsibilities

As the Director - Chief of Staff, TPM (Technical Program Manager) & BizOps leader, this individual is expected to provide strategic direction, drive efficiency, and work closely with the Leader of GTM Tech,  other leaders in CTO Staff, and GTM Tech Leadership Staff to carry out the end to end operations for the GTM Tech org. The Chief of Staff plays an important role in risk management by identifying potential risks and developing appropriate mitigation strategies. They are responsible for overseeing the progress of projects and ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and on scope. In addition, the Chief of Staff would collaborate with the Finance team to develop and monitor budgets for the organization and ensure a robust hiring plan aligned with the Intuit site strategy. Most importantly, the Chief of Staff is required to be the strategic partner with execution excellence to the CTO Staff leader and their leadership team and serve as the line of support for them to ensure the steady progression of the organization toward its goals.

As GTM Tech TPM leader, the GTM Tech TPM (Technical Program Mgmt) team will report to this leader. Currently, the TPM team is located in India and the US and is led by Mgr3 (Group Technical Program Manager) based in India and the US respectively. The key priorities of this role include:

  • Oversee the progress of GTM Tech initiatives and ensure they are delivered on time and schedule.  This requires a deep understanding of the complex technical initiative and developing a good understanding of the core architecture, system flow, and platform use cases. 
  •  Responsible for driving strategic programs and projects that are tied to Intuit's goals, growth, and development while also ensuring operational rigor. 
  •  Provide leadership and liaison across all cross-functional teams and align key stakeholders in executive teams. Manage interdependencies and integration among multiple projects, teams, and stakeholders across the portfolio.

This leader is also accountable for leading the GTM Tech org's 3 & 1 - year plan and In-year as part of Intuit's Unified planning process. In, 3&1 Year Plan, SVP+ set the strategy, customer, and business outcomes, and define the input goals required to drive the outcome metric target. VPs secure resources, set up the team to achieve the input goals, timeline and success measures. In the In-Year Plan, VPs partner with DIRs to refine and sequence 12-18 month input goals, resolve dependencies and lead executions. 

As BizOps Leader: The GTM Tech BizOps team will report to this leader. This leader will be accountable to drive the operating rhythm of the business and improve efficiency in how we operate by defining and monitoring on-going business metrics, and solve business/operational challenges and develop new capabilities/processes as a driver. HeadCount management, AWS cost management, GTM Tech hiring alignment with the site strategy, overall budget management are few of the areas to lead as part of this role. 

As COS, the role will act as a strategic advisor to the CTO staff member and work closely with the VP PMO/BizOps for the CTO, driving some key programs and mandates from the CTO Office. As the COS and the leader of TPM & BizOps organization for GTM Tech, this leader will be accountable for optimizing the operating models and rhythms of GTM Tech to enable effective decision-making and information flow by bringing together complex, cross-functional and cross- organizational teams. Manage effective planning and communication across the organization and at all levels to ensure continued alignment of program scope, status, risks, dependencies and eventually outcomes. Researches and recommends new and revised strategic programs/ initiatives while creating and maintaining processes to streamline operations. Prioritizes the utilization of resources with other functions. Influences business uni cross-organizational strategies relevant to program goals. This role needs to have an advanced understanding of technical concepts, architecture, systems, development methods, business, product and people goals and disciplines associated with the defined programs to be able to utilize knowledge to accelerate project completion.


 Summary

  • Supporting the technical leader in executing their vision, strategy, and goals by identifying opportunities to operationalize and prioritize initiatives.
  •  Facilitating communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring project timelines are met and objectives achieved.
  •  Preparing briefings and presentations for the technical leader, summarizing organizational issues and providing solutions, options, and recommendations.
  •  Developing processes, policies, and procedures to improve team efficiency.
  •  Ensuring that organizational priorities and decisions align with the overall mission and vision set by the technical leader.
  •  Managing external engagements and projects, organizing key events and meetings.
  •  Supporting the technical leader in building and maintaining a strong culture that encourages innovation, collaboration and manages performance expectations.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - work experience in a strategy related role, or equivalent with an emphasis on quantitative skills
  • Excellence with both Strategy and Execution - ability to be strategic and lead with a clear vision and  also be hands-on with execution to  deliver winning results
  • Strong Program Management leadership experience - experience leading multiple programs across the life cycle working with technical, product, and functional groups
  • Excellent influencing skills - Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment, and ability to influence at all levels/functions and build strong partnerships across organizations in delivering the best outcome of complex programs.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills - appropriate for executive-level audiences visually communicating goals of the program, relationship to business goals, and other relevant success criteria. This role will write strategic papers, 6 pagers, and exec decks.
  • Highly self-motivated - willing to proactively take on problem-solving within teams
  • Must be able to work flexible hours specifically morning and late evening - as the portfolio has a combination of partnerships locally in India as well as across cross-functional stakeholders globally
  • Excellence with program management and presentation tools and skills
  • High performer with a track record of significant accomplishments.
  • Be able to work in dynamic and agile environments and be outcome and impact focussed

  • This position requires some international travel.
  • Educational Qualification and Experience required - Engineering, MBA & consulting background with 15+ years of experience working with large companies in a COS role preferred.
