Job Overview

Intuit is looking for an exceptional Group Design Manager for the QuickBooks Online Accountant product.  QuickBooks Online Accountant is a product built for accountants who are working with small business customers with complex business needs. 

This role will focus and build an already world-class design team, by galvanizing the team around a mission, building the team culture and helping to continuously elevate the craft of the team members.  Intuit has been design driven since its inception. Design-thinking (D4D) is at the core of Intuit’s process and employed company-wide to identify opportunities and iterate through to solutions. As a modern design leader, you are focused not only on people leadership but also creative directing the work with a deep passion for the design details. You will work intimately with some of the world's top design and engineering talent to grow an amazing team that does the best work of their lives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a world class product design team that believes real design is one of the few differentiators in an AI fueled landscape. 
  • Deeply care about your own design craft, in service of building quality products for our customers. 
  • Builds the team culture through pushing for sharper ideas, better execution and bolder thinking.
  • Consistently sets the bar for quality design and can challenge safe choices on the team.
  • Influence cross functional leaders  to think differently.
  • Drive and mentor bold decision making in a matrixed environment.

 

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $226,000- $305,000. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing pay equity for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.

Qualifications

  • Have experience with people management (5+ people) in a design role
  • Are passionate about designing customer-driven experiences
  • Are a great communicator and storyteller
  • Love building a data-driven design culture
  • Have experience influencing stakeholders and peers in a large corporation
  • Have experience building a vision, strategy and planning across functions
  • Have experience managing teams in multiple locations
  • 4+ years experience managing product designers and design teams
  • 8+ years experience designing large-scale complex customer facing experiences
  • Deep knowledge of UX design process and design-thinking process
  • Working knowledge of web and mobile development and technology
  • Working knowledge of agile project management
  • Familiar with design tools (ex. Figma)
