The Corporate Business Development function at Intuit is focused on Intuit's Big Bets, prioritizing cross-company partnerships with our most critical partners to drive substantial long-term growth. This team collaborates with the world's largest platforms, financial institutions, and ISVs to achieve ambitious goals, ensuring Intuit products deliver seamless "done for you" experiences for our customers.

Key initiatives for the Corporate Business Development team include:

  • Driving and executing a "One-Intuit partner strategy" with principal platform partners to boost top-line growth.
  • Identifying, developing and managing strategic partnerships across all our business lines to unlock new markets and opportunities.
  • Managing our most critical company-wide named strategic partners through a coordinated One-Intuit approach.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, strategic, results-driven Manager for our Corporate Business Development team. This individual will play a key role in managing strategic partnerships that drive significant value for Intuit and its customers. This includes identifying and evaluating potential partners, developing compelling partnership proposals, negotiating favorable business terms, and managing ongoing relationships to ensure mutual success.

Responsibilities

 

  • Identify, assess and manage relations with potential strategic partners in key target markets and verticals, prioritizing those with the highest potential for aligning with Intuit’s strategic goals
  • Lead the development of compelling business cases and partnership proposals that clearly articulate a shared vision, value proposition, and quantifiable benefits for both Intuit and potential partners.
  • Lead and own complex negotiations with potential partners, leveraging a deep understanding of both Intuit’s priorities and partner needs to structure mutually beneficial agreements with favorable business terms and clear success metrics.
  • Oversee the execution of partnership agreements, including developing joint business plans, establishing launch strategies, and overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure successful implementation and achievement of defined goals.
  • Proactively monitor, analyze, and report on partnership performance against agreed-upon KPIs, identifying areas for optimization and growth, and implementing course corrections to maximize value creation.
  • Cultivate strong, trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders at partner organizations, actively seeking opportunities to deepen engagement, expand partnerships into new areas, and drive continued mutual growth.
  • Effectively collaborate and build consensus with internal stakeholders across product, marketing, sales, legal, finance, and other relevant functions to ensure seamless partnership integration and execution.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of overall experience with 3+ years in building strategic partnerships or business development within a technology company. 
  • Proven track record of structuring, negotiating, and closing complex, multi-faceted partnerships with large strategic enterprises delivering quantifiable results. 
  • Experience managing a portfolio of strategic partnerships, including developing joint business plans, tracking performance metrics against established KPIs, and driving growth initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority, effectively collaborating with product, marketing, sales, legal, and other relevant departments.
  • Prior experience building and leading small, high-performing teams in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. This could include direct reports or leading in a matrixed organization.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate value propositions, influence stakeholders at all levels, and build strong relationships with external partners.
  • Proactive and self-directed with a strong bias for action, a strategic mindset, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $169,500 - 229,500. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
