Job Overview
Come join the Intuit Platform & Development Xceleration Group (PDX) Program Management Ofce, as a Principal Technical Program Manager, Tech Buy Strategy. The PDX PMO’s team supports the Intuit Chief Architect and their mission is to accelerate the outcomes of the PDX organization by defining the overall Intuit Tech strategy and executing on large horizontal initiatives and technology priorities across multiple teams across Intuit.
This role will execute processes for making build vs buy decisions; ensure 3P technology choices align to Intuit’s selection principles; and conduct consistent tech diligence and integration planning for renewals and new contracts. This role will also partner with key stakeholders to ensure that strategic and critical third parties are aligned to Intuit’s tech strategies and are delivering the most important work to innovate for our customers.
Responsibilities
● Establish a scalable process for onboarding and maintaining key strategic and critical third party or open source technologies in City Map in partnership with the global architecture team. Mapping of third party products and services to City Map capabilities and owners for enabling decisions that align with Intuit’s tech strategy ]
● Operationalize technical due diligence and integration planning for key strategic and critical third parties including preparing and presenting formal reports and readouts, integrate with overall contracting process, identify automation opportunities for scaling
● Scale the 3rd party strategic alignment program structure and drive program operating rhythm with in partnership with cross functional teams across Intuit Tech Ecosystem and Global Business Solutions
● Establish and manage credit approval and governance process for strategic vendors (e.g. AWS, GCP) in partnership with cross functional teams including Finance, GBS and requesting teams across Intuit.
● Scale the overall vendor performance management strategy, including incident and escalation management, ensuring vendor SLA commitments are meeting Intuit’s business needs
● Drive creation of roadmaps and execution plans for tech strategy alignment and continuous improvement with key strategic vendors
● Collaborate with key stakeholders in executive teams, architecture and product development teams across Tech Ecosystem; and various cross-functional teams across Intuit to drive program outcomes.
● Prepare regular status reports and dashboards to drive understanding of current initiatives and hold both internal teams and third parties accountable to milestones and deliverables
● Prepare agenda and key talking points to support executive leadership meetings with third parties
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is:
Bay Area California $222,500 - $301,500
Southern California $206,550 - $279,500
This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits).Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing pay equity for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.
Qualifications
● 12+ years of experience in top tier technology strategy and consulting, or experience in developing strategy for large scale SaaS and Cloud hosting vendors
● Significant exposure to senior leaders, experience in leading operating rhythms with senior tech leaders, driving alignment, building consensus on tech strategy decisions
● Domain knowledge of building and operating high availability, high performance, reliable and robust platform architectures
● Understanding of cloud hosting technologies like AWS and GCP is preferable
● Strong understanding of contractual SLAs, performance tracking and reporting
● Passion to quickly learn new technology spaces like Generative AI, AI Agents,Blockchain, CyberSecurity, DevOps etc.
● Strong proficiency in standing up portfolio and program frameworks for complex, multi-company initiatives
● Ability to drive technology strategy development including role for build vs buy, core vs context, etc.
● Deep understanding of partner management and how to drive partners for high performance
● Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders; mobilize and motivate teams; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages with grace; execute with limited information and ambiguity; adapt to and manage change quickly
● Thrive in a culture of ownership, delivery, and innovation.
● Ability to traverse both vertically and horizontally in a large organization
● Excellent balance of people, organizational, and technical skills, and can execute and deliver successfully in situations where authority is not a given.
● Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision both written and verbally
● Effective presenter, negotiator, collaborator - regardless of organizational structure or hierarchy
● Ability to handle a rapidly changing environment
● Professional, team player with strong leadership and interpersonal skills
● BA/BS degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent technical experience required
