Job Overview

At Intuit, we are seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Program Manager (Localization) to lead the localization of our financial and business management software solutions to cater to global markets. As a crucial member of our Globalization Team, you will drive the adaptation and localization of our products into multiple languages, ensuring they resonate and function effectively for users worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute large-scale localization projects with agile methodologies, ensuring deliveries align with scope, timeline, and budget constraints.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with localization service providers, conducting regular performance evaluations and ensuring high-quality results.
  • Negotiate contracts and service level agreements with localization vendors, optimizing service quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams—including product management, engineering, marketing, and user experience—to identify localization requirements and strategically convey them to external localization vendors.
  • Work with the Globalization Engineering team to find and fix localization problems early on. Put in place smart solutions to stop these problems from happening again.
  • Develop and enforce comprehensive localization strategies and roadmaps; champion the adoption of advanced tools and systems to enhance localization processes.
  • Coordinate communication and cooperation between internal stakeholders and external localization and translation service providers.
  • Consistently track and evaluate localization performance metrics, driving continuous improvements in quality and operational efficiency.
  • Cultivate an environment of ongoing improvement by advocating for advanced localization strategies and practices within Intuit.
  • Provide expertise, mentorship, and support to team members on the nuances and best practices of localization processes.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Localization, Linguistics, International Business, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of demonstrated experience in managing extensive localization programs, specifically within the software or tech industries.
  • Profound knowledge of localization methodologies, tools, and platforms (e.g., Phrase, MemoQ, Smartling).
  • Proven ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder projects within a dynamic, fast-paced tech environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies including Agile and Scrum.
  • Fluency in multiple languages is highly advantageous.
