We are looking for a talented mid-level attorney to join Intuit’s growing Global Partnership Ecosystem team. You will be embedded with the business development and operations teams to provide support for deal desk and strategic partnership agreements, and will be expected to structure, draft, and negotiate a range of agreements.  You will also counsel the business team on various legal issues related to our partner operations and structure of the partnership function at Intuit. The successful candidate will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways and build processes that address risk and enable the business to move with velocity.

This role is hybrid with on-site expectations of 3 days per week. We prioritize being together to promote connection and belonging, creativity and innovation, as well as speed, agility, and productivity to accelerate getting work done.

Responsibilities

  • Working with the Global Partnership Ecosystem group, this individual will be responsible for structuring, drafting, negotiating and advising on various U.S. and global partnership transactions, supporting deal desk, and working on other commercial contracts with minimal direction and supervision.
  • Create scalable processes that allow the business to move with velocity. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of concurrent tasks and understanding the technical and business requirements of the transactions they handle. They will also be expected to help the business intelligently manage both legal and business risks.
  • Identify and implement processes to increase scalability / efficiency. The ideal candidate will be process-oriented and possess an ongoing desire to “never answer the same question twice” and ensure through training, guidelines, and general processes that the right resource is doing the right work -- so they can focus on the most strategic, highest-valued work.

 

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $206,000 - $279,000, Southern California $203,000 - $275,000. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. Qualifications

  • Must have a J.D. degree from an ABA accredited law school or meet the requirements for legal education in a foreign country and membership in good standing with at least one US State Bar.
  • 6+ years experience in commercial/transactional areas of structuring partnerships, contract drafting, negotiation, and deal management.
  • Ability to think strategically and leverage strong analytical skills.
  • Strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally & build enduring partnerships.
  • Outstanding verbal & written communication skills.
  • Comfortable and adept at balancing risk and opportunity, and thinking creatively to enable the business to make smart decisions.
  • High energy, positive mindset and "can do" attitude.
