Job Overview
Intuit is seeking a highly analytical and communicative Staff Business Data Analyst to join the Finance Analytics & Systems team. This role offers the opportunity to creatively solve complex business challenges and deliver impactful, company-level analytics that support effective decision-making for leadership. The ideal candidate is a technical lead with exceptional data skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Partner with teams across FP&A to understand their analytics needs and deliver end-to-end data solutions.
- Collect and analyze data from diverse sources (databases, spreadsheets, external sources).
- Develop and maintain data models and algorithms.
- Apply statistical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven solutions.
- Design and implement data collection systems to optimize data quality and efficiency.
- Provide recommendations to improve data collection and analysis processes.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data analysis techniques and tools.
- Build subject matter expertise and finance acumen.
- Narrate complex data stories concisely, highlighting insights and their impact on business outcomes for leadership and stakeholders.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet objectives and deadlines.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in a data analytics role.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent work experience.
- Advanced SQL skills for data manipulation, querying, and performance tuning. Experience with Databricks and data integration.
- Familiarity with AWS (Redshift, Athena); knowledge of Python, Javascript, and Groovy is a plus.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively partner with colleagues across the business with varying technical expertise.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for creating efficient, maintainable, and scalable data solutions.
- Proactive and inquisitive learner who seeks out and capitalizes on opportunities for business enhancement.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud EPM and data visualization tools (Qlik or Tableau) is a plus.
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $181,000-245,000. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
