  • Shape and evolve the data science strategy that powers product-led growth and scalable growth loops across the ecosystem.
  • Define best practices for experimentation, causal inference, and advanced analytics to ensure high-quality, decision-grade insights.
  • Apply sophisticated statistical modeling and machine learning techniques to transform complex, ambiguous data into clear strategic direction.

Lead Deep Analytics and Experimentation at Scale

  • Develop a holistic view of the end-to-end customer journey, synthesizing signals across acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, and monetization.
  • Frame high-value hypotheses and design robust experiments that isolate causal impact and inform investment decisions.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to prioritize and scale the most impactful growth initiatives.

Drive Cross-Functional Influence and Execution

  • Act as a trusted thought partner to Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Finance, translating analytical insights into strategic product and business actions.
  • Influence roadmap decisions by grounding discussions in data, clear trade-offs, and measurable outcomes.
  • Raise the organization’s analytical maturity by improving instrumentation, data quality, logging standards, and experimentation frameworks.

Serve as a Senior Technical Leader

  • Operate as a subject matter expert in causal inference and experimentation, mentoring other data scientists and setting a high standard for analytical rigor.
  • Lead through influence, fostering a culture of hypothesis-driven decision-making and continuous learning.
  • Tackle ambiguous, high-stakes problems that span multiple teams and require both depth and breadth of expertise.

Operate with Velocity and Impact

  • Rapidly synthesize diverse data sources and business metrics to uncover actionable insights.
  • Balance methodological rigor with pragmatic execution, ensuring that insights are translated quickly into measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications

Experience and Technical Depth

  • 8+ years of experience in data science, applied statistics, or advanced analytics, with a demonstrated track record of driving measurable product and business growth.

  • Deep expertise in causal inference, experimentation, statistical modeling, and machine learning, with the ability to apply appropriate methodologies to complex, ambiguous problems.

  • Proven ability to translate sophisticated analytical findings into clear, decision-ready recommendations that influence strategy and investment.

Technical Proficiency

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language such as Python or R for large-scale data analysis and modeling.

  • Strong foundation in experimental design, hypothesis testing, and scalable analytics frameworks.

  • Experience with data visualization tools and executive-ready storytelling to communicate insights effectively.

  • Familiarity with data architecture, instrumentation, and pipeline development to ensure high-quality, reliable analytics is preferred.

Leadership and Cross-Functional Influence

  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a senior individual contributor who influences across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Business leadership.

  • Track record of navigating new domains quickly, identifying the critical metrics that matter, and establishing analytical clarity in ambiguous environments.
