Job Overview

At Intuit, the Mid-Market team is on a mission to help ensure customers can grow with us as their business grows. We will disrupt the small business mid-market (Big Bet 5), by transforming QuickBooks from a self-serve, DIY accounting tool for small businesses, to a sales-led, done-for-you suite of tools to power growing businesses. Delivering a sophisticated product that customers love is critical to our success.

As a Staff Product Designer on Business Intelligence, you will lead the strategic vision, and execution of Business intelligence. These capabilities will give business leaders like the CEO and CFO a constant understanding of what's happening in their business and what actions to take to increase revenue and profitability. We are looking for a strategic designer with strong interaction design skills and familiarity with designing with data.

Responsibilities

  • Apply strategic thinking to design and deliver innovative solutions that optimize among user needs, business goals, and technological realities across web and mobile platforms
  • Turn visions into concepts, and translate concepts into designs that illustrate simplicity, despite complexity of the system
  • Have a strong design rationale backed by industry best practices, customer data, and behavioral insights
  • Use quantitative and qualitative data to explore new ideas and quickly test them to make data-driven decisions
  • Balance long term vision with continuously shipping, iterating, and evolving the design system
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, data scientists to deliver customer-backed experiences
  • Facilitate workshops across cross-functional partners to drive and influence the roadmap of Business Intelligence
  • Coaching and mentoring junior and senior designers on the team in craft and development of key hard and soft skills

 

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $148,500-201,000. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing pay equity for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Computer Interaction, graphic design, or other relevant field; Masters preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
  • Experience with designing beautiful, easy to use data and analytics experiences strongly preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in interaction design, product design or related field, preferably at a SaaS company
  • Expert knowledge and experience with driving and applying user-centered design processes while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Deep knowledge of user experience methods, design principles and frameworks.
  • Curiosity and commitment to testing new ideas and innovating to drive business results
  • Proven track record in setting a vision for great customer experiences, inspiring stakeholders to get behind the vision
  • Exemplary ability to build positive, collaborative relationships across teams through facilitative leadership
  • Effective communicator, presenter, and negotiator
