Intuit is the global financial technology platform that powers prosperity for the people and communities we serve. With approximately 100 million customers worldwide using products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.

Job Overview

Join Intuit’s Futures group as a Staff Designer, where you will play a critical role in shaping the next generation of AI-driven experiences and emerging technologies. As a senior member of this innovation team, you will be responsible for defining and driving the strategic design vision for bold initiatives where you will translate early-stage ideas into impactful, user-centered solutions. Collaborating across functions, you will help establish new product categories, influence direction at a strategic level, and elevate design quality throughout the organization. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of innovation at Intuit — designing for ambiguity, setting direction in uncharted spaces, and mentoring others as we bring transformative ideas to life.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the design vision for high-impact, future-forward initiatives, setting the bar for innovation, craft, and strategic thinking within the Futures group.
  • Drive the creation of AI-based product experiences, balancing bold experimentation with clear, scalable design strategies.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across product, engineering, and research — framing problems, identifying opportunities, and shaping product direction through design.
  • Mentor and support other designers, providing feedback, elevating design quality, and contributing to the growth of design talent within the team.
  • Lead and synthesize discovery research to uncover user needs, identify emerging trends, and evaluate competitive landscapes—informing both immediate design decisions and long-term strategic direction.
  • Create and guide the development of user journeys, flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals that communicate product vision with clarity and depth.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in UX/UI, product, or interaction design, with a strong track record of leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Mastery in navigating ambiguity and translating abstract, early-stage ideas into cohesive, end-to-end design strategies—from concept to polished, high-fidelity execution.
  • Deep expertise in visual and interaction design, with a refined eye for layout, and visual hierarchy that elevates product quality and usability.
  • Expert-level proficiency with design tools such as Figma, including systems thinking, design operations, prototyping, and design-to-engineering handoff.
  • Strong strategic thinking and systems design capabilities; able to define frameworks, workflows, and patterns that scale across products and teams.
  • Skilled in design discovery, including competitive audits, analogous research, and opportunity framing to guide innovation and inspire new directions.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with experience presenting to executive stakeholders and advocating for user-centered design at all levels.
  • Portfolio that demonstrates ownership of end-to-end experiences, leadership in vision-setting, and executional excellence across multiple platforms
  • Experience designing AI-driven or emerging technology experiences, with the ability to anticipate future user needs and behaviors.
