Come join Intuit as a Staff Design Researcher on the Core Platform Experiences team, as we help shape the direction of platform experiences across Intuit. You’ll enable our customers to access, manage and connect their accounts and data, while seamlessly navigating throughout the ecosystem.
This design research role is available in Tel Aviv, Israel and requires hybrid-in-person work or being in the office 3 days per week.
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about design research, a collaborative team player, creative problem solver, strong communicator, and a constant advocate for the customer.
Responsibilities
- Work experience leading design/UX research projects in a professional environment, preferably in a technology company or consulting firm.
- 4+ minimum years experience leading research projects, with more than 7 years working in UX research.
- Experience working on complex ecosystem problems or building platforms/systems in an agile environment
- Track record of translating research into business impact
- Proven experience leading user centric research, with the ability to holistically synthesise data (with market research and analytics sources) into actionable insights and recommendations
- Possess a knack for balancing customer needs with business needs to create best-in-class brand and product discovery and navigation experiences
- Bonus: Knowledge and experience with A/B testing and/or experimentation grounded in behavioural science concepts
Qualifications
Deep Design Research Craft
- Mastery of interpreting results from quantitative and qualitative research to answer strategic research questions.
- Demonstrated ability in designing and leading qualitative research, specifically remote in-depth interviews and contextual inquiry using various digital tools (Usertesting.com, Ethnio, UserZoom, Lookback etc)
- Ability to oversee/support research study design and data interpretation by research collaborators
- Ability to balance rigour with speed to deliver strategic insights - bottom up analysis, strategic synthesis (clear insights, frameworks, journeys, mindsets, guide prioritisation of research requests across multiple teams and stakeholders.)
- Turn insights into action by defining design experience tenets
- Benchmark against best-in-class web and mobile app experiences within our industry and beyond to inspire and provoke what’s possible
- Lead multiple projects at a time in a fast-paced and results oriented environment
Strategic leadership & champion people
- Grow the cross-functional design team’s expertise, explore new ways to discover consumer insights
- Work with global research to acquire new tools and resources for the team, and help teams understand and apply best practices.
- Demonstrated project management and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication and business acumen; Bring a strong POV and strategic vision to senior leadership conversations and inform organisation's future product development based on qual, quant, and behavioural science insights.
- Guide prioritisation of research requests across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to persuasively translate insights and recommendations to elicit action and inspire ideation in cross-functional team environments.
- Foster a leadership culture of experiment-driven design to de-risk product development and better understand user needs & behaviour.
- Understand the human-centred design process and identify ways to elevate and up level research with product leadership
Bonus Points: Applied Behavioural Science Expertise
- Working knowledge of the applied behavioural science literature and how it may be applied into concrete intervention design strategies to help solve complex behaviour change problems.
- Familiarity with experimental design principles (e.g., bias control, randomization, variance reduction), foundational understanding of basic statistical analysis, and the quantitative methods and tools needed to carry out these tests (e.g., survey design, Qualtrics, MTurk)..
- Ability to coach teams in thinking strategically about how behavioural insights can drive product roadmaps and business goals; passion for developing the ability of colleagues to apply the strategies and tactics of behaviour-centred design in their own work.
