Job Overview

The Sales Manager 1 in Merchant Services will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding the customer base for our merchant services portfolio. This role will involve understanding merchants' requirements and offering customized solutions to meet their payment processing needs. The sales manager will lead a team of sales representatives to achieve sales targets by developing and implementing sales strategies that align with the overall business objectives. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of payment processing, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to coach, mentor, and motivate a sales team.

The Sales Manager 1 will report to the Senior Sales Manager and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery of services to merchants while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Collaboration with Intuit's support partners and resources will be essential in achieving your business objectives and meeting customer needs, contributing to our mission of disrupting the small business mid-market segment.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a proactive approach in identifying opportunities for improvement and possess the ability to coach team members to achieve optimal efficiencies
  • Execute on the sales strategy, including communicating goals, tracking performance, and striving to constantly improve outcomes
  • Support the execution of a multi-year sales strategy in partnership with the leadership team, including contributing to creation of short-term and long-term strategic objectives
  • Quickly test new ideas, using our innovation practices, combining data and insight to learn and innovate rapidly
  • Coach employees and provide regular feedback to emphasize role priorities, including sales, forecast accuracy, problem-solving skills, and innovation
  • Manage a sales funnel and maintain a sustainable sales cycle to achieve quarterly targets
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to influence the consultant process
  • Utilize resources efficiently to manage account territory and close deals at scale
  • Measure success through key metrics including quota attainment, close rates, and pipeline velocity

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of quota-carrying leadership experience in the merchant services industry
  • Prior sales experience with accounting, ERP, or other financial management software is preferred
  • Experience selling merchant services across various industries with a strategic positioning against customer challenges
  • Familiarity with merchant service industry standards as it relates to rates, cost analysis, and risk management
  • Deep understanding of Account Receivable and Account Payable processes related to money movement
  • Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of sales levers, metrics, performance standards and sales methodology
  • Proven success in building high performing teams that consistently deliver and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Track record of collaborating and influencing in a sales team environment
  • An unwavering positive attitude, strong drive for results, and the ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Bachelor's degree or MBA preferred

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is New York $98000 - $132500, Colorado $96000 - $130000, Bay Area California $129000-174000, Southern California $134000-181500, Washington $101000 - $136500, Washington D.C. $96000 - $130000. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing pay equity for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.
