Job Overview

Intuit Global Business Services (GBS) is transforming Source-to-Report processes and technology to create a seamless digital procurement experience for employees, enhance performance in our strategic partners, and amplify value delivered for One Intuit. In service to Intuit’s focus on revolutionizing speed to benefit, the Staff Accounts Payable (AP) Analyst will play a pivotal role as a strategic thinker and agile problem solver capable of leaning into simplification and automation opportunities in the payments space while maintaining financial integrity and operational excellence across our AP operations.

The Staff AP Analyst will serve as a strategic leader and steward, requiring strong business acumen and knowledge of the procurement function and accounts payable, with experience operationalizing processes and features in solutions such as Coupa, to effectively streamline and automate processes, bring best practices to bear based on internal and external insights, and harness voice of employee to shape the AP processes for customer benefit. Key responsibilities include overseeing the accounts payable process and ensuring that the company's financial obligations are met accurately and promptly. The role involves analyzing and capturing various accounting data, evaluating financial reports, and implementing procedures to maintain the integrity of financial records. The Staff AP Analyst will be the liaison for suppliers, internal departments, and management to ensure timely and accurate payments. The individual in this role will need to quickly establish rapport, credibility, trust, and respect throughout Finance and Intuit and work as a team player.

This job is located in San Diego.

Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategy:

  • Cultivates and coordinates relationships with Finance, People & Places, and Technology stakeholders, with ability to interact with senior leaders to provide strategic guidance or support decision-making.

  • Contributes to and executes the vision for best in class accounts payable, keeping the customer experience at the forefront while seeking automation and AI-assisted solutions as velocity drivers for GBS. 
  • Uses previous experiences supporting accounts payable to bring best practices to bear at Intuit.
  • Partners with international teams to ensure globally compliant and locally relevant policies and procedures.

 

Accounts Payable:

    • Assists with payment processing and invoicing to ensure suppliers are paid timely.
    • Analyzes invoices and expenses, ensuring accuracy and completeness prior to processing payments.
    • Supports stakeholders, GBS and the accounting department leaders as well as the outsourced India team by participating in daily meetings, AP activities and various projects.
    • Collaborates across Intuit to leverage resources & knowledge to solve problems & achieve results to meet deliverables and deadlines.
    • Continuously reviews and improves accounts payable processes to maximize efficiency, accuracy, and minimize errors.
    • Provides recommendations and support to automate key analytics or reporting to drive productivity.
    • Employs data mining techniques to identify opportunities for the business and GBS continuous improvement.

 Qualifications:

  • 8+ years industry expertise with excellent Program Management skills, including relevant experience supporting procurement and accounts payable
  • Expert knowledge of all aspects of payables procedures and full cycle accounting practices both in North America and Internationally preferred
  • Proficient in procurement and third party risk management solutions such as Coupa, Concur, Aravo, and Oracle eBiz
  • Customer-backed with strong communication, coordination, and planning skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to make recommendations to senior leadership based on data
  • Ability to apply judgment to balance policy with achievement of business objectives and user experience
  • Ability to influence and drive change while building solid relationships with your internal clients and external suppliers
  • Experience with digital procurement technology and tools including e-procurement platforms
  • Availability to directly support and interact with multiple international business units
  • Culturally aware; experience communicating with a global audience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or other quantitative discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
  • Multi-lingual a plus
  • Experience working in the High-Tech or Financial Services sector preferred

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Southern California $133,500 - 181,000 . This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
