Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Program Manager to drive Engineering Excellence including Architectural Rigor, AI Excellence within Virtual Expert Platform (VEP), a 300+ engineering organization, fostering a strong builder culture where engineers leverage AI proficiency to design, build, and implement transformative experiences. This role will be a key partner to senior engineering leaders, helping to define, prioritize, and execute strategic technology roadmaps, empowering our engineers to thrive and deliver exceptional results. This includes building sustainable mechanisms for continuous improvement, with a focus on building high-quality capabilities and services, and improving key operational metrics. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical understanding, exceptional communication and collaboration skills, a proven ability to drive organizational change, and a passion for enabling engineers to harness the power of AI. Experience in a platform organization is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and drive best practices for engineering excellence to improve operational efficiency and reliability aligned with opex KPIs.
  • Develop and enforce architectural guidelines, patterns, and best practices to ensure consistency, scalability, and maintainability across VEP.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for AI development, deployment, and monitoring, ensuring responsible AI implementation.
  • Design and develop a Builder Culture Operating system anchored on customer insights, velocity and accountability.
  • Drive an architectural review process across the org, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and adherence to established standards.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices across the engineering organization.
  • Develop and implement programs to enhance the AI skills and capabilities of the engineering org.
  • E2E thinker with the ability to drive results and lead change across teams, with the ability to influence senior Kickstart cross org initiatives, aligning disparate leaders and programs on outcomes.
  • Develop program structures and operating rhythm to bring together complex cross-organizational teams to achieve outcomes with velocity and scale.
  • Quickly and effectively identify and clarify critical issues and dependencies that need action and drive them through to closure. Effectively balance business needs versus technical constraints.
  • Clearly and concisely communicate progress, trends, and insights to stakeholders at all Share updates in ways that resonate with and inform our builders, highlighting the impact of AI initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, with a focus on understanding and addressing the needs of our engineering teams, particularly regarding AI enablement.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of strong Technical Business Operations, Consulting, or Program Management experience, including planning and leading multiple medium-large sized programs.
  • Deep understanding of AI technologies and demonstrated ability to collaborate with engineering teams on complex, AI-focused technology programs using Agile, Kanban, and Scrum development
  • Experience with software development lifecycles and a focus on building high-quality software.
  • Experience tracking and improving operational metrics such as incident reduction, quality, and velocity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other quantitative field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven ability to lead integrated teams from various internal and external organizations across multiple locations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels, especially with engineering teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with proven creative problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, influence, and demonstrate emotional
  • Ability to innovate under new and/or changing conditions, particularly in the rapidly evolving field of AI.
  • Advanced JIRA user and knowledge of other collaboration tools such as Slack, Confluence, and Google Docs.

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Southern California $214000-289500. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits).
