Job Overview

We are looking for a strong leader with a passion for program management and leading others to help us solve our most critical t4i & FLP Tech priorities. If you’re passionate about building teams, and solving internal and external customer problems at scale that help protect Intuit and our customers we would love to have you join our team.

The role is responsible for stewarding our IDC-based TPM team for t4i & FLP Tech, including Workforce Tech, P&P, Learning, Finance, Legal, & Privacy initiatives, and driving the delivery of transformational change by providing leadership and direction to our IDC-based TPM team, including direct reports and partners.

Responsibilities

 Focus strategically

  • Has autonomy to work collaboratively with the leaders in your space to drive the program/portfolio and overall Intuit strategy to accelerate strategic business outcomes
  • Understands and translates the strategy and vision of your organization and helps the team understand how their work accelerates the Strategy
  • Drives and provides data driven recommendations to prioritize, execute, monitor and communicate progress, trade-offs or decisions needed

 

Lead change

  • Partners with leadership to create a culture where teams are recognized and encouraged through change
  • Builds trust across teams and generates broad support for the project/program
  • Understands and supports key changes and type of change (process, technology and organization) being driven by the program and develops, executes and measures success

 

Enable scale

  • Recommends and drives areas of improvement within your programs/portfolios and works with stakeholders to implement
  • Participates in the improvement of project/program management craft and is viewed by peers as an expert
  • Coaches and mentors others in the business on program management fundamentals

 

Domain expertise

  • Rapidly navigates new program areas, dive deep into subject areas and bring information back to the right level of granularity
  • Brings expertise in software development approach, and applies appropriate SDLC methodologies to programs and deliver on engineering and operational excellence
  • Drives domain specific discussions, leading experts in the field through active problem solving

 

Deliver programs

  • Aligns with cross-functional partners on the highest priority initiatives and the outcomes the team will work to accelerate
  • Drives and continually improves the project/program operating rhythm
  • Develops high quality plans, uses data to assess progress to plan, uses independent judgment to provide insights, and communicates progress and trends to stakeholders
  • Identifies risks and issues and presents recommended response plans to stakeholders.

 

People Leadership

  • Attracts, coaches, trusts, and empowers a diverse, geographically dispersed team to accelerate outcomes. Passionate about understanding the goals of your team members, and providing them opportunities to grow and develop talent.
  • Defines team goals to drive for the highest impact (with effective communication of strategy, progress and decisions)
  • Plans team staffing with clear roles and areas of accountability in service of organizational need
  • Drives velocity by accelerating decision making, removing barriers and blockers through data and accountability

Qualifications

  • Strong Program Management leadership experience, including 8+ years planning and leading medium-large sized programs or a portfolio
  • Demonstrated ability to infl uence at the Director and VP level within a matrixed environment across multiple organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to take to extreme ownership of outcomes across a portfolio, build strong partnerships across teams, and drive for accountability across cross-functional partners
  • Knowledge and experience with project/program framework best practices, tools, and techniques
  • Strong technical acumen with expertise in software development approach, architecture, and lifecycle
  • Ability to attract, coach, trust, and empower a diverse, geographically dispersed team to accelerate outcomes
  • Preferred Skills/Experience:
    • Agile training and/or experience
    • Experience with t4i & FLP Tech programs/portfolios preferred
    • Computer science or other technical education or equivalent work experience
