To achieve this goal, we’re seeking an experienced design leader with depth of craft and people leadership experience to join our team. As the design leader for the QuickBooks Core Invoicing experience, you will partner closely with cross functional partners, and lead a team to deliver best in class invoicing solutions for small businesses, globally.

Responsibilities

  • Hybrid work
    • On-site at our Mountain View campus 2 days per week, minimum
  • Systems and practices acumen
    • Champions use of standardized tools, templates, and documentation
    • Champions accurate interpretation and application of design system standards, patterns, and best practices
    • Oversees application of AU in the strategy and execution for AU assisted product experiences within the payments and invoicing domain
  • Data fluency
    • Regularly accesses dashboards for relevant data and defines clear success criteria. Begins to leverage both quantitative and qualitative data to support hypotheses and understand trends
    • Works closely with data partners to draw comprehensive behavioral insights. Starts to collaborate with Product Development (PD) to ensure the design and build processes result in clean, usable data
    • Uses data to guide tests and innovations within design projects. Effectively communicates with senior leaders using data-driven insights
  • Technical acumen
    • Understands and partners with PD to develop a common language and knowledge of existing capabilities. Advocates for product quality from concept to code, understanding machine learning models and rule-based technology
  • Business acumen
    • Helps drive roadmapping and planning conversations. Demonstrates ability to make informed, timely decisions based on accurate assessment of available information
    • Has a clear POV of where their craft can have the most impact in the face of conflicting priorities. Develops innovative and creative solutions that effectively address significant business challenges
  • Collaboration and culture
    • Leverages industry knowledge and strategic insights to guide and support work. Presents work with polish and confidence
    • Leads meetings effectively, and represents their craft in various situations
    • Grows skills in conflict resolution. Generates and maintains momentum. Proficient at managing stakeholder expectations
    • Uplevels skills of others in craft and across design. Proactively suggests and drives activities that bring the team together. Participates in hiring activities such as interviewing and sourcing
    • Leads teams and oversees the execution of multiple medium- to large-scale projects concurrently with high proficiency. Leads design projects for their craft

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interaction Design, User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
  • At least 8 years of relevant professional experience in interaction or user experience design
  • Strong portfolio showcasing experience as an IC and leader
  • Strong knowledge of user-centered design principles and guidelines
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $191500-259000. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
