As our Design Director for the Accounting & Accountants group, you won't just manage a talented and diverse global Design team across North America and UK; you’ll ignite their potential to deliver world-class user experiences, obsessed with our customers. This isn't a role for the faint of heart. We need a dynamic individual who thrives in a highly collaborative environment, capable of diving deep into the details while leading with a bold strategic vision and influencing at the senior leadership level. We are rewriting our user experience for the “Do It For Me” world of the future, and you’ll help define what that future looks like. We seek a leader who will lean in and make things happen in service of creating unforgettable experiences and products.

Responsibilities

  • What You’ll Do: Lead the Design Revolution

     

    Lead from the front: Inspire and coach a distributed, 30+ person global design powerhouse encompassing Product Designers, Visual Designers, Content Designers, and Design Operations.

     

    Multiply leadership: Directly manage and empower a team of design managers to thrive and grow as leaders.

     

    Forge a culture of impact: Cultivate an inspiring and collaborative design team culture where managers flourish and designers at all career stages can do their best work and seize numerous growth opportunities.

     

    Shape the strategy: As a key member of the Accounting and Accountants leadership team, you'll partner with product, engineering, marketing, analytics, and customer success to define the strategic vision, drive innovation, and create a high-performing product development culture that delivers real results.

     

    Elevate the experience: Collaborate with your fellow design leaders within QuickBooks to define the design function's strategy and ensure end-to-end excellence and a refreshed overall customer experience.

     

    Champion design excellence: Invest in building a world-class design culture for the entire Intuit design community.

     

    Grow the next generation: Mentor, coach, and develop future design leaders.

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $263500-356500. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing pay equity for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.

Systems thinker with integrated vision: You possess systems thinking and the ability to envision integrated offerings, working effectively across a matrixed organization to deliver on vision and priorities.

 

Motivational and influential leader: You have exceptional motivational, facilitative coaching, and leadership skills that rally and inspire design and cross-functional teams, along with exceptional storytelling skills and the ability to build relationships and influence senior executives.

 

Global product expertise: You have deep experience shipping products across platforms and geographies as a designer and coaching others through the process.

 

Appreciation for the design spectrum: You value all forms of design (interaction, visual, content, motion, research) and understand how they collaborate.

 

Bonus points: Experience in FMS, Fintech, or mid-market products is a huge plus.
