Job Overview
Intuit’s People Experience team shapes experiences that maximize the potential of Intuit’s employees. Performance management and development is a core pillar of the People Experience team. It is focused on the end-to-end design and execution of the company’s end-to-end performance system. The system is critical to Intuit’s high-performance culture and Intuit’s ability to deliver on our Big Bets and accelerate innovation in creating AI-driven experiences to fuel the success of Intuit’s customers.

Responsibilities
- Design and continuously improve Intuit’s performance management and development system, which includes goal-setting, coaching and developing across all levels of performance, promotions and career growth, as well as differentiated ratings and rewards
- Execute with excellence on the performance system and cycle each fiscal year, including enabling processes like talent reviews and contributing to content for high-performing organization reviews
- Advocate for and teach leaders at all levels why performance management matters and how it helps grow careers and enables employees to do their best work
- Work across, influence, and inspire stakeholders in People & Places, including Total Rewards, Human Resources Business Partners, Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, Intuit’s People Analytics and Research Team, to deliver on our performance system in a way that is more fully integrated and feels seamless to our employees
- Define and execute on the strategy to gather and respond to “voice of employee” on performance, as part of a broader re-imagination of the People & Places organization’s voice of employee strategy
- Directly manage three direct reports, role modeling the leadership and performance management practices we expect of others
- Define the right input and output metrics and our short and long-term data strategy for measuring and improving the experience our employees and managers are having in all aspects our performance system (for example, promotions, quality of goals, quality and frequency of feedback, and understanding and trust in the fairness of our ratings and rewards mid-year and year-end process)
- Experiment and innovate with automation and AI, including GenAI, to make it easier to manage and improve individual and team performance
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $255,000 - 344,500, Southern California $299,500 - 310,500. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing pay equity for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.
Qualifications
- Deep expertise and experience in leading-edge performance management practices at large, global companies, as demonstrated by 12 or more years of relevant work experience
- Proven track record of change leadership and innovation in performance management, including implementation of new technologies, increased automation, and AI-driven digital experiences.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, including using qualitative and quantitative data-based insights to change behavior
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, working cross-functionally, and managing multiple priorities and initiatives
- Commitment to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace culture
- Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, and demonstrated ability to shift between strategy and execution seamlessly
- Demonstrated experience developing effective data and measurement strategies and expanded “voice of employee”-driven improvements for performance management
- Proven track record of leading at scale in a centralized model, working with HR Business Partners, multiple Centers of Excellence, and with core business leaders and influencers
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience managing employees with a stellar track record of building high-performing teams and leading at an executive level.
- Talent steward who attracts, grows, and inspires top talent, and has successfully taken teams and organizations through change and transformation.
