Job Overview

The Development Platform team at Intuit builds foundational capabilities that developers across Intuit use for building and running Intuit’s flagship applications, leveraging cloud-native technologies in a highly scalable, reliable, and secure manner. Ease of use along with scale and reliability are some of the key attributes of the platforms that this organization is responsible for.

We are on a journey to enable hyper-scale growth on both our systems and our development processes and are making fundamental technological shifts that will enable this journey. As the product manager, you will shape the long-term vision for our UI developer experiences and will be responsible for executing that vision. From ideation to development to adoption, you’ll lead an organization focused on making a massive impact on Intuit’s application developer community by providing end-to-end product solutions.

Application teams at Intuit work on cutting edge technologies in rapidly evolving business and technical environments, pushing the boundaries of how web and mobile development is done to execute on Intuit’s AI-driven expert platform strategy. In this role, you will work with other product managers, product designers, and development teams across Intuit as you define the UI Platform strategy to be a force multiplier across the ecosystem.

We are looking for someone who has extensive product management experience building front-end application platforms at scale, with a good technical understanding of those platforms balanced with customer empathy, strong execution abilities, and a track record of building strong business partnerships to deliver impactful business results. Responsibilities

- Define and Execute Strategy:Develop and articulate a compelling vision and multi-year roadmap for Intuit’s UI Platform, ensuring alignment with company goals and user needs.

 

- Effectively Manage Dependencies and Plans:Coordinate priorities, dependencies, and execution plans across multi-functional teams to ensure consistent product delivery aligned with shared goals.

 

- Data-Driven Decision Making:Define success metrics, prioritize requirements, and communicate plans, progress, and outcomes using a data-driven approach.

 

- Increase Development Velocity:Collaborate with engineering to implement solutions that accelerate front-end UI development while maintaining high-quality standards.

 

- Raise the Bar on Operational Excellence:Establish governance models, best practices, and robust processes to ensure consistent, defect-free delivery across the platform.

 

- Improve Product Performance:Lead efforts to enhance platform performance, ensuring fast, reliable, and scalable user experiences.

 

- Integrate AI Capabilities:Drive the integration of AI-driven tools and workflows to automate repetitive tasks, enhance decision-making, and improve team productivity.

 

- Build Scalable Tools and Frameworks:Design and deliver tools and frameworks that streamline development workflows and empower teams to create exceptional user experiences.

 

- Promote Platform Adoption: Engage cross-functional teams through training, documentation, and feedback loops to maximize platform adoption and impact. Promote awareness of your platform through technical talks, internal and external forums, and customer events.

 

- Platform Evangelism: Represent Intuit at conferences, meetups, and community discussions, bringing outside-in perspectives to enrich Intuit’s design and developer communities.

Qualifications

- 5+ years delivering world-class platform products and systems for front-end applications for large scale SaaS offerings.

 

- Experience defining, building, and delivering platform products with an ability to bridge between product, data, design, and development teams in a matrix environment.

 

- Good understanding of and a keen eye for user experience design for web and mobile platforms.

 

- Good understanding of the architectures and lifecycle of large scale web and mobile apps.

 

- Familiarity with UI Frameworks such as React, Angular etc. is a plus.

 

- Keeps up with the latest trends in the front-end application development (web or mobile) and can synthesize and drive tradeoffs in technology choices.

 

- Has worked in an Agile development setting and can drive backlog grooming and prioritization across multiple cross-functional teams.

 

- Product development or technical background, either as an engineer or in a previous technical role with prior hands-on development experience or in developing and presenting technical demos and content.

 

- Proven experience in defining the product vision and inspiring teams to deliver innovations and impactful products.

 

- Ability to take end-to-end responsibility for the product’s success.

 

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, a related technical discipline or equivalent experience required, an advanced degree a plus. Equivalent experience will be considered.

 

- Ability to work closely with customers and partners listening and taking a customer-focused approach to defining strategy and setting priorities demonstrating a passion for the customer.

 

- Excellent collaboration and communication skills - across organizations in small teams and in larger group presentation formats.

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $$177,000 - $239,500. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
