Job Overview

Do you love AI and data? Are you a passionate designer that loves to collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, data analysts, and data scientists? Are you also a strong leader who motivates a team of designers to deliver delightful experiences?

Come join our A2D (Analytics, AI, Data) team at Intuit as a Design Manager 2. You will be helping to unleash the power of data for our strategy to be an AI-driven financial expert platform. We are in the early stages of building up the user experience so you will be responsible for setting the foundations and delivering the vision.

Responsibilities

Using your exceptional design vision and craftsmanship, you will lead a team of designers to drive and execute in a fast-paced environment to deliver a self-serve experiences that will make working with intelligent systems a delightful experience.

 

Specifically you will:

  • Lead and coach a team of up to four designers overseeing a specific domain
  • Contributes to and drives the vision and strategy, stimulating and provoking change or progress, within the team and across the domain
  • Facilitate design thinking, brainstorming & co-design activities to complex AI & data problems to push for innovation with stakeholders and customers
  • Find and provide solutions to opportunities for cohesiveness, simplification, and collaboration
  • Set an inspiring example for your team and stakeholders by delivering end-to-end experiences that simplify yet optimize across user needs, business goals, and technological realities
  • Operates autonomously to provide guidance to leaders of a domain, while managing your direct team
  • Ensure alignment across product managers, engineering, design, and stakeholders to deliver engineering-ready designs
  • Communicate strategy & designs effectively to leaders, partners, and customers to inspire & evoke a call to action

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in interaction design, product design, or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in design, HCI, or relevant field; Master’s preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered
  • Experience leading and managing designers
  • Deep knowledge of design principles and methods
  • Strong leadership, communication, project management, and organizational skills
  • Oversees large-scale design explorations that balance user needs, business outcomes and technical constraints
  • Expertise conveying ideas and solutions through storyboarding, wireframing, and prototyping
  • Experience designing for and working with design systems and reusable component libraries
  • An updated online portfolio
  • Bonus: HTML/CSS prototyping skills, data science, data visualization
